What We Treat

Reaching out for help with addiction or a mental health condition takes real courage, and the first step is understanding whether a program is the right fit. At Foundry Front Range, our clinical team provides medically supervised detox and integrated residential treatment for adults navigating substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and the complexity that comes when both are present at the same time.

Our licensed medical facility in Broomfield, Colorado offers 24/7 expert clinical supervision across all levels of care, and we accept Medicaid, because access to treatment should not depend on what insurance you carry.

Substance Use Disorders We Treat

Our programs are designed to support adults with a wide range of substance use disorders. Treatment at Foundry Front Range is evidence-based and individualized, meaning our clinical team tailors each person’s care plan to their substance use history, withdrawal risk, and any co-occurring conditions. Below is an overview of the substances and disorders we address.

Alcohol Use Disorder

Alcohol use disorder is one of the most common reasons adults seek residential treatment, and it carries real medical risk during withdrawal. Symptoms such as seizures and delirium tremens can develop without proper clinical monitoring — which is why medically supervised detox is often the appropriate first step. Our alcohol detox program provides ASAM Level 3.7 withdrawal management with 24/7 medical oversight, followed by a direct pathway into residential treatment for those who need continued support.

Opioid and Fentanyl Addiction

Opioid use disorder (including addiction involving fentanyl, heroin, and prescription painkillers) requires careful medical management during withdrawal. Fentanyl in particular has reshaped the opioid landscape in Colorado, with contaminated street drugs increasing overdose risk even for people who have used before. Our medically supervised drug and alcohol detox program is equipped to support safe opioid withdrawal, with clinical staff available around the clock.

Cannabis and Marijuana Use Disorder

Cannabis use disorder is real and more common than many people expect, particularly as THC concentrations in available products have increased significantly over the past decade. Adults who find that marijuana use has become difficult to control, or that stopping causes significant anxiety, sleep disruption, or irritability, may benefit from structured treatment. Foundry Front Range offers residential and outpatient treatment specifically for adults with cannabis use disorder.

Stimulant Addiction (Methamphetamine and Cocaine)

Methamphetamine and cocaine use disorders involve patterns of compulsive use that can be difficult to interrupt without structured clinical support. Stimulant withdrawal does not carry the same acute medical risk as alcohol or opioids, but the psychological symptoms, including depression, fatigue, and intense cravings, can make early recovery particularly difficult without professional guidance. Our residential program provides 24/7 clinical supervision and evidence-based care for adults navigating stimulant addiction.

Benzodiazepine and Prescription Drug Dependency

Benzodiazepine withdrawal can be medically serious and, in some cases, life-threatening, particularly for individuals who have been taking these medications at high doses or for extended periods. Prescription drug dependency, whether involving benzodiazepines, sedatives, or other controlled substances, often develops gradually and carries significant withdrawal risk. Medically supervised detox is typically the safest and most appropriate starting point for adults managing benzodiazepine or prescription drug dependency.

Polysubstance Use

Many adults entering treatment are using more than one substance, a pattern sometimes called polysubstance use. This adds complexity to both the withdrawal phase and the residential treatment process, because each substance may require a different clinical approach and timeline. Our integrated care model is designed to address polysubstance use comprehensively, rather than treating each substance in isolation.

Co-Occurring Mental Health Conditions

At Foundry Front Range, we recognize that substance use disorders rarely exist on their own. Research consistently shows that a significant portion of adults seeking addiction treatment also live with a mental health condition, and that treating only the addiction without addressing the underlying mental health component can make sustained recovery more difficult. Co-occurring disorder treatment, sometimes called dual diagnosis care, is built into our clinical model at every level of care.

Depression

Depression and substance use disorders frequently occur together, and each condition can make the other more difficult to manage. Some adults turn to substances to cope with persistent low mood, while others find that their substance use has contributed to or deepened depressive symptoms over time. Our clinical team screens for depression at admission and integrates mental health support throughout detox and residential treatment.

Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety disorders — including generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and social anxiety, are among the most common co-occurring conditions in adults seeking addiction treatment. Substances like alcohol, benzodiazepines, and cannabis are often used to manage anxiety symptoms, which can lead to physical dependence and make withdrawal more complicated. Our program addresses both the anxiety and the substance use, with clinical support available 24/7 throughout the process.

PTSD and Trauma

Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder are highly prevalent among adults with substance use disorders. Unaddressed trauma can drive substance use as a coping mechanism, and active PTSD symptoms can significantly complicate the early recovery process. Trauma-informed care is part of how our clinical team approaches treatment, we work to create a safe, structured environment where both the trauma and the substance use can be addressed together.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder, particularly when undiagnosed or undertreated, is strongly associated with substance use. The mood cycling characteristic of bipolar disorder can lead some individuals to use substances to manage manic or depressive episodes, which in turn can destabilize mood and make the disorder harder to treat. Our integrated clinical approach supports adults with bipolar disorder throughout detox and residential treatment, with psychiatric support available as part of the care continuum.

Other Co-Occurring Mental Health Conditions

Beyond the conditions listed above, our clinical team has experience working with adults managing a range of co-occurring mental health challenges, including mood disorders, personality disorders, and other conditions that intersect with substance use. If you are unsure whether your situation fits our program, our admissions team can help you assess clinical fit before you commit to anything.

Who We Serve

Foundry Front Range serves adults 18 and older who are seeking medically supervised detox or residential addiction treatment in the Denver metro area. We also work with families who are researching options on behalf of a loved one and want to understand what treatment looks like before making a decision.

Women Seeking Gender-Specific Care

We offer a dedicated women’s treatment program for women navigating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Gender-specific programming creates space to address experiences that are more common among women in treatment, including trauma, relationship dynamics, and mental health conditions with higher prevalence in women, within a clinical environment designed specifically for them.

Medicaid-Insured Individuals

Medicaid does cover addiction treatment, including medically supervised detox and residential care, and Foundry Front Range accepts Medicaid. For many adults in Colorado, Medicaid is the primary barrier they assume will limit their access to higher levels of care. Our admissions team can help you verify your coverage quickly, often before you arrive.

Families Supporting a Loved One

Watching someone you care about struggle with addiction is painful, and families often need their own support throughout the process. Our family addiction program is designed to involve and support family members in meaningful ways — not just as bystanders to their loved one’s treatment, but as active participants in the recovery process.
