What each program involves
Medically supervised detox (ASAM 3.7)
Detox is short-term medical stabilization in a licensed facility. Our licensed nursing staff is on site around the clock to monitor you, keep you safe and provide care through withdrawal.
We manage medication as clinically needed. If someone becomes too medically unstable for our unit, we transfer them to a hospital.
A typical stay is about three to five days, though it depends on your needs and how you respond to treatment. We know rapid access matters and work to open a detox bed as soon as clinically appropriate.
Residential treatment (ASAM 3.5)
Residential treatment is live-in care with daily clinical programming in our 44,000 sq ft Broomfield facility. A structured day includes group therapy, individual counseling, psychoeducation and skill building.
Clinical staff manage medications, monitor medical status and plan the transition to step-down care. Stays generally run about 30 to 90 days and are built around your clinical needs rather than a fixed program length.
Intensive outpatient program
IOP keeps structured treatment going once you are stable enough to live at home. Individual and group therapy continue on a set schedule while you hold down work, school or family responsibilities.
Virtual intensive outpatient program
Virtual IOP delivers the same structured programming by secure telehealth, available across Colorado. Sessions run three evenings a week, three hours each, alongside individual counseling.
Dual diagnosis and co-occurring care
Substance use and mental health conditions are treated together, by one team, rather than in sequence. Care starts with a psychiatric assessment. Medication management is available when it helps.

How admission works
Admission starts with a phone call or a short online screening. Our team knows rapid access to detox matters and works to open a bed as soon as clinically appropriate.
- Call or complete the online screening. Have a photo ID, your insurance or Medicaid card, a current medication list and an emergency contact ready. If you are already in withdrawal, say so on the call. Medical triage comes first.
- Clinical and medical assessment. A nurse and clinician evaluate withdrawal risk, take vitals and labs, and review your medications. Psychiatric needs are screened at the same time, and safety planning happens where needed.
- Level-of-care recommendation. We use ASAM criteria to match you to a level of care. Your plan lists treatment goals, any medications and the recommended therapies.
- Admission and orientation. The first day focuses on medical stabilization, orientation and the daily schedule. Staff walk you through medication routines, phone and visiting guidelines, and safety procedures. Weapons, illicit substances and open alcohol are not permitted on site.
- First-week review. Clinicians review your progress, adjust medications and begin structured counseling. Discharge and next-step planning start here rather than at the end of your stay.

ASAM 3.7 is medically supervised detox, focused on stabilizing you safely through withdrawal with licensed nursing on site around the clock. ASAM 3.5 is residential treatment, where therapy and recovery work happen in a live-in setting. Placement at either level follows a clinical assessment.
How long is detox, and how long is residential treatment?
A typical detox stay is about three to five days, though it depends on each person’s needs and response to treatment. Residential treatment generally runs about 30 to 90 days and is individualized to clinical need.
Can I do outpatient treatment if I am working or have family responsibilities?
Yes. Intensive outpatient programming runs on a set schedule so you can keep working or caring for family. Virtual IOP runs three evening groups a week for people who cannot travel to the facility.
What happens if I am already in withdrawal?
Call our admissions line and say you are in active withdrawal. A nurse and clinician assess withdrawal risk, vitals and current medications before anything else. If someone is medically unstable beyond what our detox unit can safely manage, we arrange transfer to a hospital.
